Love Squad is starting a little somethin’ somethin’. We are going to feature a member every month for our Member Highlight! We will post an announcement in our Facebook group and all you have to do is join the group and comment on the announcement for a chance to be selected!

This month, we interviewed Michelle Jacques. Michelle is a 28-year-old photographer, Beautycounter consultant and full-time mom from Ave Maria, Florida. Here’s the full interview:

1. How do you start your day?

I start my day with prayer and exercise.

2. How do you end your day?

I love spending time with my husband with wine, talking or watching our favorite shows.

3. What’s your guilty pleasure?

Does food count? I love pizza!!!

4. How do you perform self-care?

My mother recently passed away in a car accident so it’s been a struggle in grounding myself again. But I mostly make it a point to exercise (Ally’s Get Lifted and Feel Good rides are seriously amazing). Taking care of myself spiritually and physically has been my number one. If I can’t take care of myself, how can I take care of my family, you know?

5. How do you sweat?

Love my Peloton bike! I love dancing! I used to do Cross Fit so now we turned our garage into a gym and do some weight training as well.

6. Describe yourself in three words.

Passionate, loving, loyal.

7. What can’t you leave your house without?

Usually my camera and lipstick.

8. Last book you read?

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis.

9. Favorite movie and why?

Life Itself. I guess it came at a time for me after my mother’s death that was hard yet beautiful. It shows you the consequences of your actions, death and hope all at the same time. Towards the end of the movie, I felt that there was a message there that my mom wanted to give me. My sister and I happened to be watching it together for the first time, so it was a special moment for us.

10. Tell us your most embarrassing moment.

I don’t think I’ve had an embarrassing moment; it’s more just all-the-time clumsiness. Recently, my friend and I went to a dinner with some other school moms and I had gone to a baby shower before. I texted her saying I wasn’t going to the dinner because I thought I had too many margaritas. She asked if I ate anything and I told her no. She replied, “I’ll bring some bread to sober you up.” I thought she was joking, but when she picked me up, she said to look at her purse and she literally brought me a slice of bread. Later that night we were sitting in the back of the car with these other moms after more champagne was consumed, and as a joke she said just eat the bread already, so we were like passing the bread to each other like little girls giggling in the back seat the other moms didn’t know what was going on. The next morning, she texted saying she couldn’t find the bread anywhere and to check my bag but I didn’t have it either. We couldn’t stop laughing. One day that mom will find a random slice of bread in the back of her car.

11. What’s your favorite “dad joke”?

How does the moon cut his hair? Eclipse it.

Thank you for being you, Michelle!

You rock,
